STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT PLANNING
Services include designing and facilitating stakeholder engagement processes to:
  • Develop and confirm organizational vision and mission statements; and
  • Identify and confirm strategic priorities, objectives, goals and outcome measures to monitor and assess organizational performance.

  • Our strategic management consulting practice is based on the belief that organizations should continually monitor internal and external events and trends to make timely changes to organizational plans. We also assist clients to develop effective operational and business plans that connect strategic priorities and operational effectiveness.
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Change Management and Organizational Development
When you think "organizational development and OHS", think continuous improvement, hazard identification and control, processes and goals that will result in the reduction of injuries and illnesses. Get it right - your organization grows and prospers because you attract and retain quality staff. Get it wrong - the downward spiral begins:  qualified and experience staffs leave, you lose contracts based on your safety record and your corporate reputation slides. That is why leading executives devote time, energy and money to “getting it right”.

Organization development and change management needs vary across associations, corporations, not-for-profits and government. No one process is right for all situations and entities. Our consultants have the experience to develop cost-effective, custom solutions for each client. We have the flexibility to provide full service or, if you prefer, we can "shadow consult" behind the scenes to your existing internal resources. Our consultants are proud of their ability to deliver practical, real-world solutions.

    Training
    • Our staff have developed and delivered a number of training programs for management, workers and safety professionals.   Both Luisa and Dan have over a decade of experience teaching adults through the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Extension. Here’s some of our course offerings:
      • Responding to OHS Officer Investigations for Employers (2 day)
      • Preparing for the GHS (Global Harmonized System) of Hazardous Materials Communication (4 hour workshop)
      • Staff Engagement the Key to Successful Safety Programs (4 hour workshop)
    Incident Investigation
When the worst happens, companies are often at a loss about how to respond. OHS Officers take control of your workplace, start writing compliance orders, interviewing staff and going through your internal company records.  Management and staff are often dazed and grieving about the serious injury or death of a colleague.  Yet serious risks to both your business and your staff remain.  Expert guidance can help you respond in a way that gets makes sure that your staff are safe and that your company gets back on its feet quickly.  As the former top OHS cop for Alberta Dan has overseen hundreds of these investigations.  Would you like to have his expertise in your corner?
    WHMIS/GHS
For many years Dan worked on the WHMIS Current Issues Committee (the policy making group for WHMIS in Canada) and was a Governor on the Hazardous Materials Information Review Commission.  Few have the in-depth knowledge of WHMIS and GHS that he has. Luisa has implemented WHMIS in a number of complex organizations.  Whether is writing clear and compliant MSDS for your products to support your customers or implementing WHMIS /GHS in your workplace, Clarke Consultants can provide the solutions you need to succeed.
